Grilling Ice Cream!?
Easy and Fun Ways to Enjoy Jumbo

“Grilling ice cream” might sound a little strange, right?
This time, we’ll introduce an easy ‘grilled ice cream’ recipe you can enjoy using Choco Monaka Jumbo!

1. What Does “Grilled Ice Cream” Mean?

When you toast a Choco Monaka Jumbo in a toaster for about 30 seconds, the monaka wafer becomes fragrant and crisp.
Crispy on the outside, cool on the inside—enjoy a new “hot & cold” texture contrast.
This is an officially recommended arrangement from Morinaga Confectionery.

2. Grilled Monaka Jumbo Recipe

[Instructions]
1. Remove Choco Monaka Jumbo from its package and place it in the toaster.
2. Heat for about 30 seconds, checking as you go.
3. When the monaka becomes fragrant, it’s ready!

[Notes & Precautions]
※Heating time may vary depending on the toaster and personal preference—adjust as needed.
※Be careful to avoid burns or overheating.
※Start with a short heating time and adjust to prevent the ice cream from melting too much.
※Take care to avoid burns when removing the heated ice cream.
※Use a toaster only (do not use a microwave or oven).
※Do not leave unattended while heating, and children should not prepare this on their own.

3. Why the Monaka Gets Toasted but the Ice Cream Doesn’t Melt

In the case of Choco Monaka Jumbo, heating it in a toaster for about 30 seconds warms only the monaka shell, while the ice cream inside stays cold.
Because the heating is stopped before the heat reaches the center, you can enjoy this “toasted ice cream” texture.

For your next Jumbo time, be sure to try this new texture by toasting it!
