To ensure that our products make our customers smile, various divisions of Morinaga are working hard every day to offer value and delight.
The Product Planning Division works in collaboration with the R&D Division and other departments. It plans customer-pleasing products based on suggestions obtained through frontline marketing activities and customer service centers as well as various survey results. That’s how it stays on top of diverse and ever-changing customer needs.
【Research and Development】
The Research and Development Division refines our core technologies. It is always at work to develop products that appeal to current tastes, creation of flavors that connect with customers, and further improvements in quality. It tackles challenges for new products and pursues the perfection of new manufacturing processes in its quest to find the newest taste sensation.
【Manufacturing and Distribution】
In order to ensure excellence in quality and efficient production, the Manufacturing and Distribution Division work hard with a focus on maintaining product freshness under the supply management system, which can supply the products needed when they are needed in the quantity needed. They continue to work on reducing turnaround times between the purchase of raw materials and the sale of products.
【Sales and Marketing】
This division organizes storefront campaigns and develops recipes and many other ideas to help our customers understand and choose Morinaga products. The division also gathers information on trends for products and customer preferences which are fed back to the Product Planning and the Research and Development Divisions.
Departments with special functions, such as human resources and general affairs, corporate communications, accounting, and materials support corporate operations to serve our customers better.

Helping balance work and family
In 2007, Morinaga was certified for the “Kurumin” logo under the Next Generation Support Act*.
Kurumin logo certification requires a corporation to develop and achieve an action plan for improvements in various work environments to support its employees to balance work and family life, all of which we have successfully met. In April, 2007, we established the Angel’s Return program to re-employ former employees who had left the Company for childbirth, child care or family care to make the Company a better place to work.
