"I want to support children’s healthy physical and mental health through fencing!" In support of this fervent desire of the Morinaga employee and foil fencer Yuki Ota—silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and gold medalist at the 2015 World Fencing Championships—Morinaga holds a foil fencing championship for children. Planned and produced by Yuki Ota, this event brings together elementary school students in grades 3 through 6 from around Japan while conveying the importance of sports and attraction of fencing through group competitions, special matches, and talk shows.
We conduct camps to nurture children’s lives on an uninhabited island in the Seto Inland Sea, where there is no electricity or water services.
On the stage of the Satoyama Angel Forest, we convey to participants wisdom for living and the importance of protecting the environment.
We provide support for children in Ghana and other cacao-producing countries to receive an education with peace of mind.
Seeing the confectionary production process, participants are able to gain a sense of the fun of manufacturing as well as the importance of safety and security measures.
